Marcella Guedes é destaque em Tougaloo.

Tougaloo, MS-The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference recently announced its Players of the Week for the Week ending September 23, 2012. Tougaloo's Marcella Oliveira was selected the Volleyball Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in leading the Lady Bulldogs to two conference wins this past week.


Oliveira, a 5'6 freshman OH from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, led the Lady Bulldogs to a 2-0 conference start this past week with wins over Philander Smith College and Fisk University. In the win over Philander Smith, Oliveira led the Lady Bulldogs with 14 kills of 25 total attempts and 6 digs. In the win over Fisk University on Saturday, Oliveira led the Lady Bulldogs once again with 15 kills of 27 total attempts and 19 digs. Oliveira has been a very influential part of the Lady Bulldogs' offense this season. She is currently ranked #7 in the conference in kills per set with 2.3 kills per set and #6 in the conference in total kills with 100 kills this season.
